That's It. I'm Gone. 

Until Labor Day. I can't take credit for scheduling my vacation during the convention. Just worked out that way.

Home Echt 

I took two weeks off and used the first four days to redo the living room. Did the same thing for the kitchen two years ago (walls and ceiling) but two years and one knee replacement have taken their toll and I feel beaten way down. Did a crap job on the ceiling, but the walls are good and the colors turned out great. Never go cheap on the paint. The Goddess and I have gone round and round for months about the colors so I finally told her to spend the week at her mother's and be surprised. She will be. Pleasantly, I hope, because I went with my original plan, but this is way off her vote. Danger, Will Robinson!

After I finish the molding tomorrow I'm going down to Pennsylvania to visit my mother for a couple of days (she's down around Gettysburg) and then on Saturday we're going to a cabin on a lake in the Poconos for a week (if we're still married) . I'm not even taking my laptop
