No Man Entirely Leaves 15 Behind

I was fifteen and my father decided to take me and a pal to the drive-in to see a movie. Bye, Bye Birdie.

By the time Ann-Margret was done with the title song my friend and I felt we had completed our transition into manhood. We hadn't, obviously, but it was a transformitive experience. The old man got very nervous and we had to plead with him not to leave.

Of course that was nothing compared to the walk-off version at the end credits where she did that elbow squeezing thing and the maracas shaking thing.

I recorded it off of Turner the other night. Gracie likes that kind of thing and I had entirely forgotten the position the film held in my Priapic Hall of Fame. Of course, this is 2006 and Grace sees hotter stuff on Nick. She loved the show, but, I've gotta tell you, Ann-Margret still makes me sweat.
